Upcoming Cold Snap-Lake Open for Skating Effective March 14- 18,2025

Hey Residents, 

With the upcoming cold snap, we are excited to reopen the lake for foot traffic, ice fishing, and skating! This is a great opportunity for you to enjoy a “last blast” of winter and make the most of the season.

With the cold temperatures upon us this makes conditions acceptable for use. Here are a few key details:

• Park hours are from 10 AM to 8 PM, so please plan your activities accordingly.
• The hockey rinks will be open for daylight use only, as there will be no lights.
• We are unable to Zamboni the rinks, but the ice sheet is relatively flat. Residents can use the provided shovels to clear the rinks if it snows.
• Benches have been placed out on the lake for people to put their skates on as the Zamboni ramp is gone now and we don’t have the jelly bean to skate over. 
• There will be no Lake Loops or Jelly Bean available for skating.
• The lake will be open for skating, foot traffic and ice fishing from Friday, March 14th, to Tuesday, March 18th, with Yellow Flags in place during this period.
• On Wednesday, March 19th, we will switch back to Red Flags, as temperatures are expected to rise above freezing during the day.
