ICE UPDATE: All Ice Surfaces Temporarily CLOSED Effective Feb 2, 2025
Attention Residents!
With the recent cold weather and accumulation of snowfall, we want to remind everyone to take extra precautions. ALL SKATING ICE SURFACES will be CLOSED TEMPORARILY starting today, February 2, 2025. Once average temperatures return, we’ll be back in full swing!
In the meantime, please be aware that extreme cold can impact the safety of both our equipment and those working outdoors. Machinery is more prone to damage in these conditions, and working in cold temperatures poses additional risks. We urge everyone to dress appropriately, take breaks when needed, and remain cautious when handling any outdoor tasks.
Keep an eye on our website for updates using our flag system – YELLOW flags indicate a potential elevated risk on the lake. We strongly advise checking for updates and exercising caution during lake activities.
The good news is that the lake remains safe for foot traffic and ice fishing.
Stay tuned for further updates as we navigate this cold spell. Thank you for your patience and understanding! And remember, even though we’re taking a break from the ice, you’re always welcome to drop by and warm up.
If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to the gatehouse at 780-756-6772.
Stay safe and stay warm!
